Kudos! I think you're the only person who has mentioned the Haryana angle which is very important to understand the need for new excise policy! I am living in UP for last 4yrs due to my job and i have seen how booze is smuggled from Haryana in trucks because liquor is very expensive in UP and MP. A very shrewd and sharp analysis of the issue! Clearly highlights that BJP is scared of AAP in 2024. Modiji ki kursi jaa rahi hai kya?

When LG did not let liquor shops to open in unauthorised areas, which was there before new policy, obviously revenue will not be generated as per expectations, thereby loss of revenue caused by the sudden change in policy just before two days of the implementation of new policy.

Real problem : I am Student of class 12 in New Kondli consituency . My region has 5 Liquor shops in just one market, nearby area of vasundra and mayur vihar phase 3 have 9 each . 2 shops of my area are adjacent to Ration shop, 1 adjacent to stationery book store and 2 in society complex while theres only 1 school and 2 govt dispensry . My school has broken benches and students have not recieved the dress and book money from past 2 years .
