I have a centrifugal supercharged e46 in Orlando that was built back in the early 2010’s and it’s tuned very well for daily driving / track use. Although I’ve had NA e46s, the supercharged e46 & I used to have a turbo sedan to drift. If you’re going to drift, the turbo is 100% the way to go. The charger has no low end torque and would be great for clutch kicking over 4000rpms, but anything under that it will hesitate. Especially under transitions.

You should try installing a 3.6 diff out of the X3

Centrifugal superchargers are instant boost yes. But by rpm. Small turbos are better. Now. A roots style is real instant boos at any rpm

Had this exact setup on my 330ci, you'll end up turboing it like I am and if you haven't found a tuner yet, look into beracing for a remote tune. You'll be in the ballpark of 300 wheel but it'll heatsoak after a few pulls.

You could have just changed the rear gear on the car to help make it more drift-able.

I have e46 coupe with 330d (manual) and little bigger turbo and inner cooler and it makes 350whp/700nm (dyno) thats a fun beast to daily drive (and drift)
Engine and gearbox both of them are best that bmw had to offer back then. Evan u shud check thos 330d out

this will not have low end torque cause exhaust gasses are turning up the turbocharger with a bit of lag but to a lot more efficency. Supercharger will generate the efficency in function of rpm. Looks like you didn't check any other DRIFT build with VF supercharger :) It will not have high torque down low...will it be higher then NA? yes. Will it be higher then turbo with a bit of waiting? (even at the same RPMs) - no.

Torque is what kills engines lol this mug gonna heat soak etc after your done should just keep it NA and reliable
