Jonathan Davis is right, Korn is fucking Korn. They have their own sound where you know it's them when you hear them

As someone born in 2003, Nu-metal might be my favorite genre of music. I’m high school, our weights teacher would play a lot of Slipknot, Korn, and Linkin Park.

Bro there's nothing wrong with nu-metal. Like it's just a genre

Korn was just incredible for their first 5 albums, then there was a lull period with Take a Look in the Mirror and other albums after that, but since Serenity of Suffering Korn has been releasing fantastic albums and I'm excited for anything going forward if they keep the same style they have had

At some point he wanted the term to be "Groove Metal' which makes a lot more sense to me, a lot of Nu-Metal is danceable.

In my opinion Sepultura's roots bloody roots from 1996 was the first nu metal album, even if no one realized it yet. Down tuned, guitars, primal/tribal vocals, hip hop/rap influence, etc.

As a kid I discovered Korn by watching the end credits of street fighter the animated movie which played Blind, few months later saw the freak on a leash video for the first time and shortly after that is when issues was released and that was the first album I ever purchased and I never looked back since then.

never imagined that anime would introduce me to my favorite band ever
