My favorites, for low-end to mid-range PC's: Antix, Zorin Lite, Zorin
I like to use light themes for programs, Zorin does this excellent - on evenings with dimmed screen + anti blue light.

Great list! There's also Raspberry Pi Desktop for PC and Mac. Makes an old computer feel like a brand new pi

It's great that these lightweight distros exist. However, you will soon be disappointed once you start browsing the web since modern browsers and web pages take up so much RAM regardless of the operating system.

But this is great for computers used for a specific, narrow purpose rather than a general-purpose desktop / laptop experience.

Great list, great video! 😊
AntiX for the win. Very fast and already has many programs pre installed. I have Lubuntu on a 10 year old 32 bit desktop with 4 gigs of ram and it works very well, although it doesn't come with many programs pre installed.

An excellent collection of distros. Another possibility would be Arco Linux plus XFCE or one of the pre-configured window managers available for it. Maybe not for beginners though. Thanks for the video.

What may not make sense to new users is you said Ubuntu uses a lot of resources, but then you recommend a bunch of Ubuntu based distro's. The desktop environment is what needs more or less resources. Xfce, Lxqt, Lxde require less ram than a desktop like KDE or Unity/Gnome

Why is KDE is so under rated it is also lightweight DE. It uses around 600 to 700 mb of ram. It drops unused back groung processes very quickly unlike xfce. It is visually aesthetic as well.

I'm xubuntu user compatible with my computer and very lightweight

Video stays current. But I would switch from Manjaro XFCE to BigLinux KDE with Plasma's "special effects" disabled. Loc OS is also lighter than Antix. ;)

Tiny core, I am new to Linux but i like tiny core it is hard to use but when I learn linux and able to customise it I am going with tinycore and customise it to be more easy to use .But Deep down window xp is still love even without official support😇

Manjaro I3, fast and beautiful. It takes a bit to get started, but after one hour you’ll be flying.
