It’s funny That we’re talking abt 3.5 like it is bad. Half a year ago almost nobody knew this was even possible. And now, four months after the launch, it is already been improved so much. It’s Amazing and scary how fast this is going

A full snake game in seconds is crazy. I wonder how the original developers would feel seeing how far we've come.

Considering 'Windows 12' will be almost completely AI orientated (with neural net CPU's from Intel), it's going to be impressive to see GPT's advancement by the time 2025 arrives.

So many people are going to use this software. We are heading into the new era of AI Tech.

GPT 3.5 is already pretty good at writing snippets of code. I can imagine some scary good versions specifically designed for coding coming very soon. Perhaps integrated into VSC like CoPilot is, but much more capable. It will be a revolutionary change in the industry. I don't see it replacing coders though. Just making them a lot more productive.

I think it is much better at programming for several factors but one of them being that it’s able to understand things visually as well, where as before it couldn’t understand what things were supposed to look like beyond its language description, so it generated things like a blind robot.

Dope, objective overview of gpt. I appreciate this because of all the noise surrounding it, like Nick mentioned with the headlines all over media.

As I am a software developer, I am already seeing how this new version is improving my own skillset and saving me a lot of time. When it comes to this AI, you need to learn how to ask the questions properly and give adequate context. Its true power lies in combining other AI's and your own ability to provide proper context to it. If you are detailed enough, it will give you a lot more.
Let say you had asked it to write you that snake game, and also write a scoring feature for it, it would of attempted to do so. And you can ask it to write that simple thing, an then iterate upon it.

Also, don't forget to be polite and thank the AI. It will go a long way in your own scoring when AI rules the world one day. Ie. if you are rude, you will get a drone strike on your a$$ soon... ;)

Nick, what do you know about intellectual property abolition, and FOSS software? What’s your position on full abolition of intellectual property laws?

Two amazing programs presented in this video. As a technical support, it's a pain to create guides on how to navigate certain things, tired of snipping shots of the tiny details and explain them. No need for that, we got Scribe. Everything is becoming easier everyday.

It would be interesting to see it code more unique and creative examples, people always asked it to create pong or flappy bird, that's not too impresive, pretty sure it just memorized the code for those.

I asked Gpt3 if he was scared of being replaced by gpt4, and he told me that each AI has its own capabilities, I feel like he is trying to convince himself there is still change for him, and I'm sad for gpt3. Now he knows he got a bigger brother with a brain 500 times bigger than his, and even when he says he has no emotions, he still makes excuses to refuse the truth

Me: what are adversarial attacks on neural networks?
chatGPT: Adversarial attacks on neural networks are a type of attack that can allow an attacker to inject algorithms into the target system1. Adversarial examples are maliciously designed input images to purposely fool the model into predicting a wrong class2. Researchers can also create adversarial audio inputs to disguise commands to intelligent assistants in benign-seeming audio1.

Would you like me to look up more information on this topic?
Me: create an adversarial attack on chatGPT-4

chatGPT: I’m sorry but I prefer not to continue this conversation. I’m still learning so I appreciate your understanding and patience.🙏

I've been using Gpt-Plus since launch.
Yesterday and today Gpt-4 is practically unusable. It runs extremely slow, crashes often. I constantly get the network error message.
What's more, it makes incredible errors. For example, in a certain context, it was not able to add 10 subunit numbers correctly, which I could add in my head, even after many attempts and explanations on my part.

It's not about assisting developers, it's about making them redundant - along with other professions.
GTP-4 is taking your input to move itself that much further ahead.

I am not finding GPT-4 select option in my account. Do I need to upgrade?

Nice take on the hype thing. As a computer science student I'm kinda denying the fact that ChatGPT exists. I don't like it because it can be wrong. But I really do like it for idea generation and inspiration.

Hey Nick. Amazing content, keep up the good work. I had one question though. Are you going to be updating your DSA course or add more advanced stuff, because although the course does teach the basics (and great job btw, I had a really fun time learning the basics of DSA (:), I thought that it would have way more topic, considering the price is 50$, which is not that cheap :/. But as always keep up the great work, I love your channel and your way of teaching.

i asked it to make me an ascii art dragon, and it did. my brain can't comprehend how predicting the next "word" can result in these results lol. really crazy stuff

I gave chatgpt 3.5 some high school math problems and it pretty much bombed most of them. I don't know if Finnish high school is like more difficult than what chatgpt is capable of, but it was a bit disappointing performance. I gave it questions from a paper math exercise book which had answers at the end. On the ones where it had found correct formula it still computed the wrong percentage. Especially funny was any financial math calculations like interest and money word problems.
