The Ace Pro 2 has something that I've wished for for ten years. It's the only action camera in history to fix this widespread issue.

Wow awesome comparisons! AP2 miles ahead, especially in low light and audio!

That new sensor with the Leica lens is a great combo. Features like HDR and slow motion can make it even more fun to play around with and to get more unique shots.

That raw audio straight from the camera sounds impressive and surprisingly good.

Terrible testing. Ryan failed to show how the cameras compensate for cosmic radiation. This could have easily been done by testing in a pocket dimension that has already experienced heat death.

Do better.

Knew it was you, Loam Wolf on that Insta360 launch live! Followed you for a couple of years now due to my interest in eMTBs and glad you chose the AcePro2!

Wow, that was a perfect side by side comparison. I have been dying recently with the low light in my videos (lost so much in Scotland). BUT, I still don't find the stabilization to be good enough to switch. Both the Ace Pro 2 and the default GoPro have too much washing machine twist. GoPro Max Lens Mod takes care of that and gives me rock solid stabilization. Would love to switch to the Ace Pro 2 for the low light, but the stabilization is still not there yet.

yeah... I'mma get myself some Insta 360 products next. I've seen a few streamers on an RV trip last weekend. They had so many problems with their Gopros overheating, constantly being like "they last for a year and then you just have to get a new one". This review seals the deal for me.

0:48 - Weird over-sharpening of everything, especially the mountain tops on the 360
1:42 - I like the audio better from the 360, it's more crisp
3:10 - The 360 has a lower exposure than the GoPro. Look at how much darker the shadows are, so it's cutting down the brightness of those highlighted areas as well. The 360 seems to have a darker exposure in general, especially when bright highlights are brought into frame.
7:43 - 360 is the clear winner in low light.

Might grab one of these! Thanks dude!

This is why competition is good. Been a long time GoPro user, since the Hero HD, and the last few iterations just haven't been that impressive. But Insta360 is actually doing some great stuff it looks like and I'm hoping to see more from GoPro.

That WB, wow, colors are vivid and true to life. Are we sure this was shot with an action camera? lol

Tell me how can material sponsored by one party be objective? Your story ignores the fact that GoPro has 10 bits and Ace does not, which is of great importance if someone later edits the material. And many other things... shame.

Im sold on the Insta360, Great vid sir. Seems like Go Pro never learns, 13 years of tech and still stuck very small improvements. Can you also do a comparison on the DJI Osmo action 5 Pro cam ?

"We all know..." the outcome if you are sponsored by Insta 😂

The comparison to do would have been against DJI Action Pro 5.

The Leica color profile is great straight out of the box. Shooting in 10-bit is a bit overkill, as the final video often ends up in 8-bit on social media.

Finally a review of an action camera showing its low light performance in ACTION! Had to watch half a dozen other "reviews " first that were trying to make the point while showing a walk under the street lights. Liked and subscribed just because someone knows how to do the job!

Remember when Ryan made the best and most objective camera reviews in the MTB world?
Gotta pay the bills. I get it.

Hi, I'm Cristóbal, a big fan of yours from Spain for many years. For the first time I disagree with you.

I have a goPro 13 and one of my friends has the ACE PRO. We have compared both cameras and watched the videos on a 65” Phillips OLED TV. First of all, tell you that Spain is a very sunny country and much more in Andalucia (south of Spain) and surely that has its influence.

- COLORS: much more natural and real in GoPro. The test was done on a very sunny day. Personally I don't like the blue of the sky with the ACE (it was not what we watch).

- WIND REDUCTION: we were in Tarifa (windy town, kite surf town) and the result was bad in both cases. In my case I fixed it using a death cat, it's not difficult despite the grids.

- UNDERWATER. Much better the GoPro. The colors come out very distorted in the ACE PRO.

- SKI: the season is not yet here in Sierra Nevada (Granada) but I have the feeling that it is similar to Mammoth. So I will wait...

- MINUTE 3:14 (contrast). I haven't tested it but I'm sure it can be fixed with ND filters and/or playing with EV.

Greetings from Spain! I love your reviews!
