New fisherman here. I got distracted and went off to do another chore for 20min... When I came back with the video still playing I had a great laugh... "Man, this guy is still going on about floats! ". And I still have over an hour to watch 😂 I don't have many people teaching me in person, so I love all the detail, and my mouth is watering for panfish. Cheers!

Outstanding communication skills. Thanks for clearly explaining all the tools and techniques you use daily.

Great teaching session! Earlier, I was watching Bill dance employ some of these same tactics. What I have learned from you both is that I need to reduce to the smallest pound test line possible and the lightest jigs and invest in a couple of ultra light rods. I passed on some of the spring loaded corks this evening and we’ll go to another store tomorrow where they will have more options.

I wish i was in that boat!!! Thanks for all your tips. Probably the most thorough video I have ever seen. I will be heading to Northern Wisconsin this week just in time for spawning!

I just figured out, 2 more things that go with this totally awesome video. The little beeds s help protect knot and bobber stop. Keep small rubber bands. When bobber stop fails tie on, trim keep fishing. 2, your slip bobber slide down to jig, when need to fire cast in wind. The bobber and jig together bee line to target . I watched your video because of these problems and figured it out . Could never correct one of your video s, but as I was watching you settled my problem s here unsaid . That dang good video

Thanks for another save worthy lesson Carl. Sometimes instead of a split shot I will tie on a quality BB swivel and a bead. The fish don't mind the sound and I've boated more than the fisherman next to me. It's my go to presentation for bluegills that tend to circle on their way up.

Another lubricating trick I do, especially when in the field, is to keep some chap-stick or a stick of coco-butter in the tackle box. I also used hand soap and end of container deoderant. They all lubricate very well for tube jig rigging. I can't forget the best way I found is applying scent attract inside the tube jig to insert easier for double the chance of a fish holding on longer.

Great show learned how to rig thanks so much. Gonna be out in the Hendersonson swamp soon with a few rods slip bobber and jigs

It's nice to sit back and watch how the Pros do it. I discovered an interesting trick when fishing brush, which helps from losing setups or disturbing a hot spot. By not adding a split-shot above the jig, the bobber will settle on the jig eye, which together, makes a compact package to accurately pitch cast to my target. After the bobber and jig hits the target, only then does the jig sink vertically into the strike zone.

Once, sitting on the side of my favorite mountain lake 3 hrs from the nearest store, my line broke and i lost my only slip bobber. I was having a stellar day catching trout, so i looked around, found a suitable stick, and whittled a slip bobber. A few minutes testing the right split shot, and i continued to catch fish all day. I stuck that lucky bobber in my tackle and left it for years. Then, i found myself in a similar position, pulled out "ole Reliable", and caught my limit....losing the bobber on the last fish.
I love a slip bobber, so versatile and dependable

Have used the springs for 20 years never had a problem and I don't get lazy just use it properly but I understand the concept use what works for you especially if the manufacturer is giving them to you free

I love using thill bobbers and green/chartreuse crappie magnets and bubblegum trout magnets

all this works fine for clear natural northern lakes whole other story in a man-made dirty southern lake that doesn't have weeds. down here in Oklahoma it's all about getting into the thickest nastiest brush you can find...try pitching one of those into the top of a blow down tree and see how many times it wraps around a limb...
