That Didn't Go Well At The Vets - What Is This?

So once again welcome back to another video. in this one we've got a partial sewage blockage to clear, we're going to go install a patch liner, we've got a bit of jetting to do at one of our domestic customers houses who just wanted his drains jetted through and also we return to the vets. This job doesn't quite go as well as we thought it would do.

I do like the patch liner jobs. 🙂 The preventative maintenance on the one drain was smart on the part of the customer. I am really interested to see the breakthrough on the last one at the vet.

To me it looks like a hole saw cut out. Someone cut a hole in the side of the cast iron pipe and let the cut piece fall down the riser. It even looks to be round and has a curve to it. The only thing is that it doesn't seem to have the pilot drill hole in the center. Great video!

Back when I was still working in the building trade, there was only rods, plungers and pig tails etc to clear drains. You guys are space age stuff with all the jets etc! And I reckon that indestructible lump is a solidified brain that one of the vets has flushed away! Might need to dynamite it! Good jobs though!

Fairly certain the lump is iron oxide. How it solidified is anyone’s guess. Since there was no camera from below, after the jet, I have to wonder if there is some add-on pipe underneath

I thought it might be pipe coming through on the elbow, perhaps a very poor DIY job.

With the re-lining, if a previous re-line is fraying or failing, do you have to clean it all off before doing another re-line, or can you whack the new one over it with both ends longer than the original? I love the smooth pearly look of your re-lines (sorry just a lay person here).

I don’t understand the compressor for the patch liner. I never hear it running. I just hear air hissing out of it.
My guess for that lump is a defect in the original manufacturing of the pipe and it’s been there since day one.

So whats causing this at the Hospital so regularly?

Bad drains obviously due to patching but low flow toilets, bad design

PS The Australian channels always throw in camera survey's to explain to the viewer's what happening so that good content your passing on ;)
