Do you know if my family and I have different alexas with different accounts, can we still use it as intercoms?
The thing is that my father got alexas for my sister, mother and I and he wants us to log in with his account (where he has other alexas from around the house) so all of them can intercom, but each of us prefer to have our own accounts, so can you answer my question please? Okay, I've three Echo units. On the app, I named their locations as living room, bedroom, and den. How does Alexa know where each unit is physically?
How would Alexa not confuse the den unit with the bedroom unit, for instance?

I'm kind of considering getting two echos for this 'drop in feature ' to use as a nurse call system. Due to my illness I have paralysis from below my neck down and live in a care home in the uk. They have a nurse call bell system but unfortunately I can't use it as I can't press the button on my call bell and the care home have not been helpful in getting me an attachment I can use. We have used baby monitors before, but that didn't work to well and it was constantly on so there was a privacy issue, and it some times went out of signal range. I just want a way to be able to call them when I need help (I currently have to use my phone using Siri to call the care home number when I'm in need of help. This method isn't foolproof as the line will sometimes be busy or I'll get put through to another ward). So I wondered if there's a way to make it so I can use an echo to call the other echo device (that could be put in the nursing station) but it would be also good if there was a way to make their device blocked so it could hear me when I ring, but not when I'm not (so they couldn't just call me and listen to private conversations when people visit). Any advice appreciated :)

Great video...we have some questions. do you have to have a mobile phone w/the app on it or should we be able to use a tablet or pc? We can't even find the option the drop in skill on any of our devices. We currently have windows phones with no Alexa app available. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you name your two devices like kitchen and office or how does dropin knows which device is kitchen?

I have 5 Dots around the house. Right now, they all have generic names. I would like to rename them “living room” “bedroom” etc. how can I determine which is which?
