Bologna's Hidden Gems | Pt I - Piazza Maggiore Walking Tour

In the first of two parts, join Dr Jeni Ryde on this walking tour commencing right in the heart of Bologna. The capital of Emilia-Romagna, Bologna offers the visitor a wealth of artistic and architectural treasures, yet it remains relatively undiscovered by the tourist crowds.

Undoubtedly the symbol of the city, the Pizza Maggiore – still largely preserving its 15th century layout – is surrounded by palaces and the hulking Gothic Basilica of San Petronio, and Jeni takes us on a tour of the many curiosities and gems to be found here.

We watched part 2 first, and the information was extensive and very interesting. We learnt so much more about Bologna, thank you. However, the use of the wide angle lens caused too much distortion and was very disconcerting.
