This was everything I didn't know I needed this year. I am a stay at home mom of three kids and the holidays have become so overwhelming with the pressure to make each Christmas bigger and better than the last. But watching this something just clicked. I don't need all of the crafts and gifts and events. I simply need to slow down and just be present. Romanticize the little things and realize how beautiful every day things are. I know that might be a weird thing to get out of this video but oh well. I'm just sitting here quietly crying at the weight this pulled off of my shoulders. I've begun covering my books with paper bags like my grandmother used to do. Her house always looks so lovely. She would calligraphy the name of the book on each one and when she was bored she would doodle on the cover while she was reading it. I still have a few of her books with those covers. They looked so lovely on her shelf.

I did want to mention that OCD is not a love of organizing or needing things a certain way (though that can definitely be a form of OCD if not having things a certain way leads to severe anxiety). As a person with OCD, I experience persistent intrusive thoughts and urges that I feel the need to alleviate through compulsions. Unfortunately, OCD has been adopted in popular vernacular to mean a person who is particular, but that's not the reality of it. I hope this doesn't offend you or other viewers, I just wanted to take this moment to gently educate about this mental illness.

Im only 2 minutes 40 in and I have to say that the editing is juste perfection. The sounds, the visuals, every single detail is thought out. I loved that when the song said the word string, you were cutting the cinnamon buns with a string. Seriously genius 👏🏻😍
