Kane was my ticket to association football. As an American, football is a different thing altogether and until relatively recently, association football in the USA was a minor distraction from baseball, basketball and ... American football. It was maybe 6 years ago I discovered that NBC and a few others were uploading highlights of Association football and it was these highlight videos that brought Kane to my attention. I did not even know who Tottenham were but I happened upon a Spurs game and was simply blown away by the instincts of Harry Kane. I became a Spurs fan then and there and have had the ups and downs that Tottenham fans everywhere have had to deal with. It was with no small amount of sadness that Kane left us, but I can not bemoan him his shot at a tittle or two.
Amazingly, after Harry's departure and the arrival of Ange Postecoglou, we have made a run to the top of the table and are playing better and with more joy then I can ever remember, AND, Harry is now on a club that gives him the shot at titles and trophies he could not get at Spurs. For me, he will always be the guy that opened my eyes to the beautiful game, and this shot from his own half is testament to the unrelenting talent that is Harry Kane!
