Elements according to Uncle Iroh:
-Fire: Fire is the element of power. The element is driven by the power of their will and desire to accomplish.
-Earth: Earth is the element of substance. The element is driven by strength and endurance.
-Air: Air is the element of freedom. The element is driven by freedom of mind and not being so attached to something that holds you down.
-Water: Water is the element of change. The element is driven by want of change and adapting.
That's just what I note of the elements. Fire is energy that needs to be fueled by something. Earth is a natural substance that has its own strength within. Air has its own free movement and moves with itself without restraint, like the wind for example. Water changes forms and always adapts in some form of way.

I am helping run a summer camp, every day for about 40 minutes ther is movie/show screening. this year we chose avatar we need to reduce the first two seasons to 30 episodes. this show is so perfect that ots impossible to choose episodes to skip

I feel you misunderstand fire-bending and it was explained to not be that simple as this destructive dangerous element. It’s fueled by passion, desire, will and drive. Not only does it provide warmth but also life and power so it’s a simplified way of looking at it when you described it here in this video. When you take into account this it’s more obvious that it is contested by Waterbending because they are about community and flexibility so it’s not just one person’s individual drive or passion but as a whole like water you must let go and release and allow the flow of energy to direct you instead of your will or passion. It’s literally being flexible and versatile to the will of the passage of energy that makes a water-bender authentic, the push and pull of the tides show the ability to move at any moments notice. Instead of using one’s energy to force or propel they submit to the force and ride its wave as power.
