I just finished installing mine it works well but just that screen is abit blurry for me and I spoke to the seller and he explained is because the screen doesn't have HD and the screen is transmitted through analog otherwise I think that is better than none 😂

Fantastic job! Thank you for the clear instructions. I have a 2019 C-HR here in the States. My car came with Apple Car Play and not Android Auto. I am an Android guy. Toyota over here just killed Entune along with Scout GPS Link, so I no longer have navigation in my head unit. I just picked up one of these units and will be installing it soon. Not only will I have Android Auto, but I will have it wirelessly and my head unit will look like a stock unit and still have all this original functionality. Thanks again. Sad Toyota allowed this with no solution, but I am glad the aftermarket came through with an even better solution.

How is the signal using the regular antenna? Also does the unit rattle around? I was thinking about securing it down with some industrial strength Velcro strips.

***Update***
Does not work with Entune 3.0!

After talking to reps from CARabc which made my unit, they confirmed this only works with Entune 2.0. My US 2019 C-HR has Entune 3.0. I told the rep if they can make a unit work with Entune 3.0 they will sell many more of these especially with Toyota discontinuing Entune all across the board.

I bought it, it arrived quickly, and I installed it on my C HR 2018, Touch 2. Calling was easy.
But I can't get Maps to turn on without activating tlm, I can't understand why.
The graphics are weak.

Thanks for the vid! Is it possible to listen to the FM or DAB radio on the stock radio while having Carplay on the screen for navigation? And can the phone still be connected via bluetooth to the stock radio for the handsfree functionality? Thanks!

Hi guys,
Very comprehensive video so thank you for providing the installation instructions. I have a number of questions I’d really appreciate some guidance on before I commit to the purchase:

1) Is there an option to connect to CarPlay both wirelessly and wired or is it a case of choosing one during the installation process and sticking with it?

2) As you’ve mentioned, to access the CarPlay mode, you go through and pick the Aux option - does this then mean you would lose Aux port functionality completely?

3) How easy is it to flick between the CarPlay mode and the vehicles standard functionalities - e.g DAB radio, vehicle settings etc?

Any guidance or advice would be immensely appreciated.

Hey there! Perhaps you had similar cases, but any ideas what can be done if the box does not start together with the car? Sometimes it does instantly, sometimes you have to poke around the AUX in the source, and sometime you have to stop and start car again to make it work. Being clueless here, so perhaps someone had similar experience and knows a fix? Thanks
