The scary thing is that, yeah the Red looks better and that’s only cause I’m watching on my 60inch 4k TV but at 1000 v 30000$ it sure as hell isn’t 29 times better than the iPhone and when you consider the flexibility that an iPhone camera system gives you for making movies and picture easily…well..I’ll take the iPhone and spend 29k on a good international exotic holiday, which I would film and shoot all on the 14pro😎

Don't forget that you can actually also adjust the effect on the footage for the iPhone even in post which will allow you to get a more natural kind of look for your footage because the cut out usually ends up lining up better and it ends up ignoring straight hairs and such

Often times I actually turn on cinematic mode but set the simulated f-stop effect to like F5 and sometimes all the way down F9 because the colors comes out way better and you can also have that less over sharp look from the Cinematic mode not have to worry about the ugly cutouts not matching up issues

Iphone's bokeh in cinematic mode might not be noticeable on smartphone screen, but one can definitely find it unnatural on bigger screen. And that action mode kills the bokeh, so a gimble + cinematic mode is still best mode for 30fps.

Red definately looks great, but is it worth a 29k surplus, would be no to a regular person. 1000 dollars for a phone camera to be compared with a red, is just dope, Its a great value 😊 thanks for making this happen

I would choose a mirrorless camera, like the Fujifilm X-H2 instead of either. With a super 35 (aka APS-C) sensor and wide aperture interchangeable lenses, it can shoot 8k and has great colour science.

I think for the action mode shot you could've just left it on cinematic mode because it already has sensor shift and OIS which would've been good enough and you would have gotten a very stable 4k cinematic shot. Action mode is only used when it's like really bumpy. For example when you're running quite fast and filming.

to me both looks great, but a cinematic camera it insane, because you can use 100 different lenses, to create every type of video, im sure it performs 10x better in low light, compresses video to a fraction of file size, and creates a dreamy backround that looks natural, and not artificial as it is on iphones. but price wise, ill use the phone X)
