Gas prices expected to drop this weekend

Another price drop at the pumps is expected in the Greater Toronto Area this weekend.

Industry analyst Dan McTeague tells CP24 that “energy markets responded dramatically to the [U.S.] tariff saga today by dropping oil over six per cent.”

McTeague says that decision led to an 18 cent per gallon drop on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

It will only drop for a short period before we run out of reserves. Once that happens America will be forced to pay higher cost per barrel plus the tariffs from those countries. America exports most of all its crude oil just to buy it back after refining. So no gas prices will not stay down. What factories are in the USA can’t keep up with the demand for fuel. It will only last so long before you see prices higher than ever before.

Oh really…and are the gas stations who are compensating for the carbon tax cut going to be reprimanded? I was out yesterday and out of the 8 gas stations in my small town…5 were priced at 1.48 and the other 3 at 1.21
