Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning (2023) - 'Chasing Grace' scene

One of the many impressive things about this film is that it never sags or loses momentum, despite its nearly three hour runtime. The script helps with this, but some credit must also go to composer Lorne Balfe for his propulsive score.

My favorite part about this scene is how the Entity mimicked Benji stumbling over his words and correcting himself. It’s such a tiny little detail that nobody would have noticed if it wasn’t included, but is kinda unnerving when you think about it. That thing knows so much about these people that it knows their personal tics well enough to copy them

This scene reveals how disturbing of a villain the Entity is when it hacks all their communication devices, impersonates Benji's voice which I still find highly creepy, and allowed Ethan to be diverted to an ambush from Paris as well as Ilsa to be killed at the hands of Gabriel.

Absolutely epic! Man..perfect example of how BG score can elevate a sequence. So much anxiety and yet powerful scene. Brilliantly written and filmed. Excellent cinematography!

2:45 this is one of the reasons i think that The Entity is the best villain on M:I movies and one of the most disturbing and creepier villains in action movies, it’s disturbing how can an AI can hack all coms devices and using Benji’s voice against Ethan

This is where I really love the title of the film and am sad to hear they're changing it for Part 2. Here is where it really hits you that all of their scanners, trackers, and wireless communications are going to be useless against the Entity. The only way they'll stop it is without using any of those. Navigation without aid tools: dead reckoning.

The best single sequence in the film, and this is a film of amazing sequences in a film that is almost perfect. Everything about this sequence is beyond perfect, The music, the cinematography, the alley fight between Ethan and Paris, the bridge fight between Grace (Who turns out to be a surprisingly decent fighter), Ilsa and Gabriel. The AI knocking out every way Luther and Benji can communicate with Ethan
