Bad idea. The US would seek to dominate the proceedings and impose its own interests. Would the US really be able to see itself as an equal partner to a tiny island nation like Nauru, for example? Can't see it working somehow..

But even so…it will a big achievement for UK…to have all the US tools in UK arsenal….again a global superpower in terms of anything.
But Trump didn’t offered such thing…economic Commonwealth is not equal with political, territorial administrative Commonwealth.
But it will be such a great deal for everyone…including people from UK I would imagine from my point of view.
More economic prosperity…since will be zero barriers or no tariffs between countries.
Raw materials will be accessible or energy material etc…
A UK citizen could do business in US without any tariffs, taxes or restrictions etc etc etc…
Any UK could keep everything in same position…or without changing much politically for example.
