Samsung SmartThings - Christmas Lights with Motion Sensor and Power Outlet

This is my first video demoing the Samsung SmartThings starter pack. In this video I've used the motion sensor with the wifi power outlet to power the Christmas lights only when there is motion. No motion and they switch off. It's a great way of saving power and not having to worry about turning the lights on or off, while keeping the socket hidden out of sight. Great video. Curious.... I've been reading a lot of people having issues with SmartThings (ST) lately. Have you still found your setup to be reliable? I know it's not X-Mas anymore but I assume that you still use ST for other functions in your home.
My 4 year old and 2 year old are constantly leaving lights on so I'd like to start buying motion sensors and setting around the house to turn off certain lights in the rooms.

Hey There... in the Video i saw just the Motion Sensor(MS) and the power outlet. the Hub was not required?
if I want to turn on my living room lights, using the MS, What king of bulbs do i need???
