How to Download and Install GIMP Resynthesizer Plugin (Mac)

In this GIMP 2.10 tutorial, I show you how to download the free Resynthesizer plugin (most similar to Photoshop's Content Aware Fill) for Mac (a.k.a. Apple or macOS). I show you where to add your installation files so that the plugin will work in GIMP, and also provide a quick demonstration of the Resynthesizer tool by erasing an object in an image.

ERROR FIX:
For those of you that get the "procedure not found" error when selecting "heal selection" the fix is simply to install version 2.10.14 of GIMP, which is the same version used in the video. If you have installed the newest version of GIMP (as of now 2.10.22) the plug-in will not work. Hope this helps!

After following your instructions: restarting Gimp, the Enhance > Heal did not show in menu

Thanks. My previous resyn plug-ins only worked through GIMP 2.10.12. These are working on 2.10.14 (this is the latest Mac release - 2.10.20 is not released yet for Mac). I can retire 2.10.12. 
Notes: 
These plug-ins are a little sensitive to where you place them.
Heal selection will not work if you feather your selection (at least with too much feather)

I downloaded it and the tools show up as soon as I try to use them I get an error saying gimp doesn't recognize the plugin. What can I do?

Object removal is one function I was really hoping Gimp would do. But, the 'heal selection tool' won't work with version 2.10.32. Any suggestions without reinstalling an older version of Gimp (which seems silly to do)?

Strange. I did this exact process twice and still don't see "heal" tool when doing the test after I import those files into the correct spot. Not sure what the issue may be

2.10.32 also allows GIMP Resynthesizer plugin to work as I could not get it to work on MC-GIMP 2.10.22. Hope this helps

I only have two folders that show up when I hit preferences-Temporary 2.10 and Swap 2.10. Do I need to create a personal preferences folder or a plug-ins folder? I really need help please!

I followed all of these instructions to the T yet the plug-in features still do not appear as an option and in addition my GIMP is now unable to open any files reading "unknown file error"
Any advice would be really apreciated...
