CNBC Today On NVIDIA, NVIDIA Earnings, NVIDIA Stock - NVDA Update

Hosts of CNBC discuss NVIDIA, NVIDIA stock (NVDA stock), and NVIDIA earnings which are scheduled to be reported on August 28. NVIDIA closed up about 4% today while the S&P 500 closed about 1.7% higher. This comes after initial jobless claims came in slightly less than expected and retail sales came in better than expected this morning. Between now and August 28, NVIDIA's price action will likely be dependent on the rest of the market. If the market can simply remain calm for long enough, then NVIDIA is likely to move higher in anticipation of earnings on August 28. NVIDIA is expected to report a very strong quarter as many mega-cap giants continue increasing their AI CapEx by billions of dollars. Forward-looking guidance is also likely to be strong, especially so considering that Blackwell (NVIDIA's latest chip) is yet to ship in volume.
