First off leave your washer open when not in use. And use the Active tablets. They do work as described. We also use the tablets designed for our dishwasher. A good product.

I am super careful about how much detergent I use especially since I have a tiny arsed stackable unit. I switched to laundry sheets to make it even easier for my son not to use too much detergent. I don't use fabric softener in the washer, either. I routinely detail the unit bc it grosses me out to open it see the dirt but I forgot about those affresh tabs since I moved. Thanks for the reminder! I need to order some.

I found a small tech place for appliances and they offer washer cleanings. It's so wonderful and it's 200$ which can seem like a lot but the effort their people put in and how amazing it is, we budget it in every 6 months plus washer tablets and NEVER fabric softener

I love your videos!!! I showed them to my hubby so he could figure out why our front load dryer smells like burning rubber! We never did figure it out but it’s starting to get better (at least that’s what I tell myself).

There was definitely lint built up and basically clogging the vent so we cleaned it out and the lint inside the dryer but there was no evidence of burnt lint, the belt was good, no burnt wires or anything, no foreign objects and he put it back together fine but it still smells like butlrning rubber ONLY WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR. Like it’s coming from the inside. It’s not overheating either so we don’t know what it is.

I max out the fabric softener dispenser on my 12-year old Whirlpool Duet almost every wash. Have never used a washer cleaner, nor run a cleaning cycle (which the washer doesn't even have). Yet, the machine is spotless. However, I also live in Germany, where we still have a plethora of powdered detergents (that contain sanitizing oxygen bleach) and my wash temps are either 104F or 140F. And I'll also use the Extra Rinse button. Looking at the North America market, I feel it's mostly liquid/pod detergents only, along with washers that are programmed to barely give a decently hot wash - unless you opt to select Sanitary. I recently had customers complaining about smelly clothes. I asked them about their laundry habits: mostly 85F washes with liquid...🤦🏻‍♂️

Something I found that works wonderful to clean a washer, hibiclense and other antimicrobial soaps. Leaves the washer sparkling, did great on the clothes too. If your sick hibiclense is great for everything, really cleans n in my opinion would probably work better than regular antibacterial soap its meant for destroying worse bugs than regular antibacterial. They do make handwash options in other antimicrobial. My opinion it should be whats used in all public places like restaurants.

I want that washer. The tub fills up to top. I dislike my machine cause it only fills to top of clothes. I fill the rest with pots full of water.
