I thought you were going to show a Fiat Jolly. I was just at the California Automobile Museum, where they have a Beach Jeep. It's an unmodified WWII model, but painted pink, with a pink and white stripped awning. It made me smile.

In 1989 I bought a yellow '75 Jeep, had the 304 4bbl 3sp with no top, no doors, no seatbelts, 33 inch swampers, front winch & just lots of weekend fun going thru the woods & mud holes here in Georgia! When I was a 10 yr old kid I got a new green '75 Honda Trail 70 just like the one behind the VW Transporter ✌💖☮

I grew up just south of San Francisco and recall those VW utility trucks growing up used by gardeners for the city. They were this light gray-green color. There are basically larger version of these in see now used by landscape companies. I don’t know who makes them but the design is the same.

I so wanted to hop into the Jeep and take it to Second Beach! My parents had a 1981 CJ-7 with same powertrain. So fun to drive, no matter the weather.

It's cool that the expanding width of off-road vehicles opened up a new market for side by sides etc. If it won't fit down the trail it's entirely useless. Most trails I see are too narrow for any modern full-size vehicles, just side by sides, quads or bikes. I think trying to be wide in order to look cool as a road vehicle was a mistake that as I said lost them a chunk of the market.

Agreed with Donald’s proper use of words and his overall presentation. Sorry to be picky on his guest, but he used far too many “you know’s” when he spoke. Often, it’s just a case of nervousness in front of a camera, or searching but not able to think of a better way to express something.
The vehicles were great; we own a 2019 Wrangler S Unlimited, a great vehicle, only 10K miles since bought new 8/2019.

I worked at a Renault dealership back in the late 70s. They made a car called a Jolly that had wicker seats. What it was doing in New Hampshire, I have no clue!
