Fun story, I was in the Apple Store and I needed the chip and motherboard replaced under apple care and I had a few fairly deep scratches on the screen so I asked if they could do that too and they said no it has to be cracked to the point where it could cut your finger. He then said, and I quote: “But if it were to fall off this table while I’m not looking then we might need to replace the whole phone…” I now have a new phone completely free of charge.
