While it seems you were given this one, back in 1999 I bought one for $15.00. I'll admit, I had to repair it, but the fix was replacing the AN612 ic chip in the Transmit chain.

Amazing radio Cobra 2000. Tks fer sharing. I have 148 for 42 years and still working in my shack. One year ago aquire one 146 for Digi comms in 27, 245 USB and works fine too. 7351 and good contacts.

My friend had one of these back in the mid 80’s. He had a Super Penetrator 5/8 antenna 60’ to the bottom. Everyone swore he ran power because he got out so far
