The area of land known today as Israel is not the same Israel mentioned in the book of Enoch or the Bible. Todays Israel is a different patch of land and has only existed since 1917, following the newly created Balfour Agreement. FYI

Perhaps if they hadn't intentionally and methodically removed this book from the bible because it did reveal things they didn't want people to know, it wouldn't be so "horrifying" to some people.

Hey, it’s in the bible, Genesis, chapter 6, The Wickedness of Man.They were the offspring of fallen angels who found the daughters of men to be desirable. Their offspring were giants and heroes of old. I have never read Enoch but I would love to get a copy.

That is odd. Bound books did not exist 5, 000 years ago. They had scrolls and etching in clay and stone.

The book of Enoch was written 3000 years after Enoch ascended to heaven. It clearly wasn't written by him.

Hmm...I've read the BoE as well as the BoG. Interestingly enough I also heard a different story on how the manuscripts were found: Bedouin shepherds were tending their herds when one of the young shepherds decided to throw a rock into a cave they had just discovered to see if "anything" came out of it. Upon throwing the rock into the cave the shepherd herd the distinct sound of pottery breaking, and this elicited their entry into and exploration of the cave. Hmm....

Hieroglyphics translate directly into HEBREW LETTERS ! "SECRETS OF THE EXODUS" is more like the Egyptian Gods "leaving Egypt", and becoming reborn and made more relevant to contemporary history. Anyone who studies world religions can see the patterns that came from Babylon and Egypt, in "Genesis" and "The FLOOD" alone. The first 'takeaway' is that what people thought was history, IS NOT HISTORY, but REVISION !

There were NO bound books so long ago. There were binder-like books in copper and gold plates which were discovered about 2000 years old, but older records are scrolls, stone art work as in tombs, and stone writing, along with clay, reeds, metals etc. Bookbinding was a later creation. Who wrote these ancient stories? Nobody knows. Sketchy pasts should be left buried. There's no god that listens or intervenes. Our purpose in life is to make the next generation better than the last. Afterlife... We are energy that transform from one type to another. Be your own best is enough.

Enoch was "taken." It doesn't mean he wouldn't know what would happen. Many prophets had such knowledge of God's plan.
As for explaining how the universe works vs. contemporary science ? I guess Enoch did graduate from a well-known college with Masters degree...

And Azazel was one of the Sons of God, not part of the original fallen angels with Lucifer. Teaching people blacksmithing and makeup was advancing his group above others adversaries but also so they would defeat Gods own people. This last was the whole point. Destroy the bloodline where Christ would be coming from.
