Kolkata Hospital Horror: Bengal CM Mamata Meets Protesting Doctors, Urges Them To Stop Hunger Strike

Protesting junior doctors in West Bengal arrived at the State Secretariat on Monday evening (October 21, 2024) to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in an effort to resolve the ongoing crisis following the rape-murder of an on-duty woman medic at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Despite the meeting, the doctors maintained that they would continue their hunger strike, demanding justice for the murdered physician, the removal of Health Secretary NS Nigam, and improved security measures for healthcare workers, among other issues.
