You can use only the thumb for the comping part or thumb, index- and middle finger together for the chords. Damp (mute) bass and chords with the edge of your right hand.

Dear Greg, thank you so much. Good to know that the flood made no bigger problems. We say instead of old dog "alter Knochen" (old bone) or "alter Gaul" (old nag). We have exactly the same proverb with the old dog only with "old fox"). But "old fox" means in German also a very clever older man.
I also need very much time to learn new things on the guitar and the quality and speed will never become as well as in the days of my youth. So I save my time and my hands by using virtual instruments.

No, I wrote it with Capella. But you can have the midi-file and open it with guitar pro. It should also be possible to open the MusicXML-file with guitar pro.

You know the answer as good as me. Let us together "verbeugen" before the creator of this song (I can not find an English translation. It means: "bend; bend forward" - show respect with a flexure).
