The worms force their way into the eye stalks and pulsate to draw the attention of birds, their true targets, while also driving the snail to climb higher in order to increase the chance of encountering one. The snail often survives having its eye stalk ripped out by a hungry bird as the bird has little interest in eating the snail. The eye stalk grows back and the next worm pushes its way up to repeat the process.

Look if is snail doesn’t have completely his eyes the worm start to have the eyes and if a bird start to eat it then he gonna completely die
