Finally a demo where the amp is used properly. Most people put the volume on 1 and stick a pedal in front 🤦🏼♂️

Those are iconic amps!I have one, with a 1960 TV cab.Sounds fabulous! It's a pitty though that in this clip it's not heard with a Les Paul too.Because in my opinion, that's the best combination.Les Paul+Marshall= match made in heaven!

for sure 3 magnificent, 1959 Plexi, 1983 JMP2203 and 1987X 50 for the real 80s rock tone territory

Dear Marshall, make a reissue of the JMP 2203 or JMP 2204, please. Those amps sound so so good. They would be worthy to be among the other reissue models.
Greetings!

I love this Marshall, what actually (I know blasphemy) is attractive to me is the effects loop. I currently use a serial effects loop in my rig with both a BOSS SDE300 and H90; it's Diezel Herberts, yes two running in stereo as a master/slave and it sounds amazing, specifically CH-2 is priceless. Fast forward, I'd like to swap out this Marshall 1987x as my master in my rig, but I'm fearing possible phasing issues between the current slave Deizel with now the new master 1987x? The Diezel slave is simply taking the signal and powering the right side.

Please make a 68 handwired edition.... it would sell like hot cakes....

What's the transparency of the FX loop like?

Thanks for the demo! Almost sold. How clean can the tone get on this amp? Any marshall experts that can tell me what should i get? Jmc 900 50w og this one. Considering both

Quali microfoni sono stati utilizzati?

E' una delle heads Marshall piú belle con una Potenza devastante da provare senza nessun limitatore e con drive davanti io ne ho una e Butta giú

I always thought Marshall should demo it with a lp or strat. No idea why a modern sounding luke. Not saying it sounds bad but given this being the official demo from Marshall....

I live in Denmark and we have 220v, but when bought my amp it was on 230v setting, should I change that?
christianboddum
Could you play it through a regular 1960 cab into the high sensitivity input 1 all the way up or at least 4 or 5?
johnsimms
And how are you breaking up like that without going deaf being right in front of it?
I have the amp also and without attenuation or some drive pedal, the tone here cannot be achieved without being very loud.
rrguitar
Had one of these. Absolutely loved it but always had trouble with it's volume. Pedals, Attenuators or PPIMV Mod didn't do the job for me. Had to sell it. Bought a JMP 2203 instead.

Unless you're playing Madison Square Garden, an attenuator is a MUST with this amp.

1987x are Plexi ??? i have a original 1987 JMP 50 build in july 1969, according to his serial number, and it is a aluminium brush panel. They replaced the plexi. I play with it on a mesa boogie black shadow and believe me it rock Still a killer amp after 51 years of service.

Would have to say the 50 reissue sounds better than the 100.
I think Drake did a better job than Dagnall in recreating their OT's.
