StepUp Academy, Dubai, UAE – Invited to take part in the IFDPA for the first time 2018

In 2017 StepUp Academy became the first performing arts school in the UAE to give our students the magical opportunity to perform at
Disneyland Paris...

For 2018, we successfully auditioned and were invited again to perform in the magic! We took a team of 20 students, aged 7-13 years and we have just returned from Disneyland Paris... with 6 TROPHIES!!!

Not only did we take part in the showcase inside the park again, but this year our girls were lucky enough to be able to take part in the pre-parade which travels around the park, and they also took part in an international competition, competing against other dance schools from around Europe! We have also shared a once-in-a-lifetime experience with all our dancers and the parents who came with us. Memories that will be treasured forever.

1st Place – "Walking on Sunshine" – All ages, The Dance Magics
2nd Place – "The Rest of my Life" – Senior 13yrs+, Jazz
2nd Place – "Work" – Senior 13yrs+, Open Dance
2nd Place – "Witch Doctor" – Tia & Emmie Aitken – Junior 8-11yrs, duo open dance
3rd Place – "Run this Show" – Rianah Dhamecha & Lourdes Mousa – Junior 8-11yrs, duo open dance
3rd Place – "Dancing in the Streets" – All ages, group open dance

Established in 2011, StepUp Academy has become one of Dubai’s leading Ballet & Performing Arts schools. Offering classes from 15 months old, through to adults.

StepUp Academy are the only school in the UAE with the license and rights to run KinderDance classes, which come from the US. They have 6 expertise classes which are specially designed around the development of a child, using a combination of Dance, Gymnastics and Fitness based activities (KinderDanceWithMe, TotsBallet, Gym, KinderDance, KidsYoga and Motion).
In addition to regular classes, the academy provides Multi-Skills and Performing Arts camps throughout all school holidays and are available from 4 years upwards.
