1) In DO THE RIGHT THING, when Radio Raheem shows Mookie his brass knuckles while telling the story behind them, that scene was a tribute to the knuckle tattoos on Robert Mitchum's hands in THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER.
2) If you look carefully at the piano player in the artist's studio seen throughout REAR WINDOW....

Rear Window still the greatest example of opening exposition of all time. I still can t decide if Do the Right Thing or Raging Bull is the greatest movie of the 80's.
