My family likes to have ham on thanksgiving.

German here: We eat special sausages called "Schlesische Weiße" (Silesian Whites). They are really delicious. Many others eat carp, duck or goose. All of the above is usually served with some kind of potato dish. 😂

Others love fondue or raclette. But those are wrong. These meals are clearly for New Year's.
