Those old Copeland scrolls were good. My folks 1992 Central air unit still runs in 2023. You won’t see this today! But I would buy Amana over Trane for sure and over Carrier, too.

Man that condenser looks great. Usually don’t like condensers cosmetically aside from trane, American standard, run tru, ameristar and SOME Goodman. But whoever makes Amana has really nice cosmetic design taste.

Only an asshole would use that cement like sealant around the evaporator coil and top of furnace. Equipment gets replaced every 10-15 years makes removal difficult. What do you expect from clueless installers who can't think ahead.

I have the same model but it's from 2014 so it's 10 Years old and I have a modulating furnace that finally matches the outside unit but I am having some trouble with the outdoor unit after a yearly maintenance service this all started when our company who does the service on the unit broke off one of the Schrader valves causing a refrigerant leak so they had come again later to fix the valve and add more PURON to the system ; but when went to start it up for the first time it only ran for minute and it turned off then it started short cycling on and off so can anyone help me to figure out what is going on with the outdoor unit?

Is getting the Asx16 with the furnace basically like getting a ASZC16 heat pump?

Got one last year and it’s so noisy when stating it scares people. Called and was told it’s normal. Garbage unit. DO NOT BUY

Amana= Goodman junk. My Amana system was replaced last week with Carrier. Amana in nothing more than a Goodman, they come off the same assembly line. My Amana evaporator coil leaked at 4 years and had to be replaced, it cost me over $1300.00 under warranty, that was six years ago. The second coil was leaking so I replaced the entire system. No more Amana, Goodman, Daikin junk for me.
