Ticketbust.com's Traffic Ticket Talk #39 - LA City Turns Off Red Light Cameras
Показать описание
Ok so here we go; another city has announced plans to stop using those red light cameras to enforce red light violators. But this time it's not just any old small city voting to stop using those cameras, this time it's the City of Los Angeles.
Currently the City of Los Angeles is scheduled to stop using those cameras by the end of July. By ending this program it would prevent the issuing of any future red light photo ticket. However, this does NOT mean that if you currently have red light photo ticket that you can now just ignore it. All red light photo tickets issued prior the date the City of Los Angeles stops using these cameras are still valid tickets and they must not be ignored.
Even though the City of Los Angeles unanimously voted to end the program, 2 councilmen said that they would like to keep the program alive on a month-to-month basis for the next year.
This fight is not over yet. Stay tuned as anything can happen while the city looks for any way possible to raise money.
