In India it it is common to use tounge scraper ( tounge cleaner) we use it daily it is regular and I recommend u to use it daily

to turn any pot or pan with a lid into a strainer, put an eating spoon (not a large wooden spoon cooking utensil etc) in the pot resting against the lip, put the lid on over it so the spoon is between the lip of the pot and the lid, and tip more than 90° towards the side the spoon is on.
