This is such a great video idea, J.S.! Definitely a bit jealous I never thought of it because I spend far more time than I should looking through my Letterboxd stats haha.

I'm really grateful for the past letterboxd year review you did. It was the think that made me find your channel for the first place when I was finding out if the website was really worth it. Both have been great experiences. Letterboxd have literally changed my life.

Great video! I've had Letterboxd Pro for 2 years now and, I simply love it. In fact, the first video of yours I ever watched was your 2019 year in review, which appeared in my recommended a couple of days after upload.
Been subscribed since then, time flies for sure.

I did an Adam Sandler marathon in November of every movie he's done. Not only was he my most viewed actor this year, but now my most viewed actor ever at 36 films 😵

Always fun to see a year in review. Letterboxd is awesome! I desperately want to see Nomadland but I’m most desperate to watch The Wolf House (La Casa Lobo). I hope you’ll soon discover Barry Lyndon ;) you’re not gonna be disappointed.

Very glad you did this video again this year, hope the tradition lives on! I really love this Letterboxd feature.

Here is the link to my year in review 2020:

I watched 318 films, amounting to 387.2 hours. I liked 203 of them (I use that feature in a quite literal sense, „did I enjoy this or not?“ My main thought usually amounts to „would I watch this again at some point in the future?“)

The second half of the year was characterized by my personal project, which I wanted to do since I joined Letterboxd in 2015. I arrived at 1884 films at the end of June, and since then started to match my xth movie to the corresponding year, meaning my 1900th movie from the year 1900, my 1944th movie from 1944 and son on. I started on the 30th of June (which also happens to be my birthday ☺️). Since rewatches don’t change the amount of movies watched, those were not counted and allowed in-between. I had to do three exceptions, two films required to watch for university and one a Christmas movie wish from my girlfriend. For those years, I rewatched a film from the corresponding missed year to maintain the continuity. I already decided which movies I am going to watch, here is the link for the full list:

(I had to do an exception and add two from 1890, since I had already watched the one from 1889)

Currently, I am at 1966, tonight I am going to watch Branded to Kill from 1967 😊

As a result, I didn’t watch a single film of 2020. 53 of my watched films were rewatches (16.7%).

This was the first year my most watched films weren’t animation (coming in second with 113), Drama was 120.

American Films came in first with 127, Japan second with 55.

I gave 16 films a 10/10 rating, 8 of wich were first time, 8 were rewatches.

My most watched actors were David Suchet (18), Pauline Moran (12) and Hugh Frasier (11), since I watched a lot of Agatha Christie’s Poirot in the first half of the year. Apart from them they were Adam Driver (12), Paul Dano (7) and Daniel Craig (7).

My most watched directors were Georges Méliès (6), Satoshi Kon (5) (apart from Paranoia Agent (finally!!) all rewatches) and Fritz lang (5).

Highest rated and most popular film was Parasite, which I watched in a cinema in Seoul at the beginning of the year, one of my favorite cinema experiences of all time! The lowest average was a 1893 film called „Horse Shoeing“.
