Marking the 30th anniversary of the original XRV650 Africa Twin, Honda announced some updates to the CRF1000L Africa Twin for 2018, along with a new, more version called the Honda CRF1000L2 Africa Twin Adventure Sports.

Honda makes quality motorcycles, which everyone knows. My only question is how can one handle a 36 inch seat height?

The weight is crazy. I’m out again on this. I wish they would make a 700 or 800 and a hundred pounds lighter. It’s almost at the point that you couldn’t pick it up if it fell over off-road.

Bigger gas tank, better suspenders, pre-farkled, plus fixes to a few other odds and ends the critics managed to find? Shut up and take my money! Seriously, the only debate is “do I just order it and pay retail” or “do I wait for a leftover in January 2019 and try to save a buck or two?”
