Awesome job explaining! I've learn more from you then from my professor!

@luvbeingmama83 Changing subtraction to addition is not required but when first learning how to add and subtracted signed numbers it can be helpful. You may benefit from watching the videos I have on add/subtract integers.
For example, 8 - 5 = 3 we know this. but 8 + (-5) = 3 also. The positive "outweighs" the neg. You can think of this of having $8 and taking away $5, the result is $3. Consider 5 - 8 = -3 which is the same as 5 + (-8) = -3. There the negative "outweighs" the positive.

shouldn't that 3 be a negative 3? I thought when you added or subtracted a positive number from a negative number the answer would be negative. Wasn't the problem 8x + -5x? that would be -3x.

*Awesome* video but I do agree with the @LB...why factor out the term when you can simply add/subtract on the spot? It's confusing when you factor out...

I think polynomials are my favorite!! :)

why are you changing the main subtraction sign to addition. i just watched three other videos that didnt do that
luvbeingmama
Why the fuck would you "factor out" the variable when you can just add/subtract them on the spot? Seems to be making things more involved than they have to be.

i Still Dont Understand Why The 9 Turned Into A Negative On The 1st Problem ?

This is so confusing. This video just makes it worse.
