The ASRS should be called SARA instead: Semi Automatic Retrieval Array :3

Oh Oh another idea, make a hole from the surface down like 60 tiles, at the bottom a huge amount of CO2 will collect. Feed a molten slickster farm with the nice hot CO2. I was able to ranch like 60 slicksters this way, and if i made more holes I bet I could collect a really nutty amount of petroleum for almost free

That poor base.. So many updates.. so many legendary/ extinct stuff in it.. XD

lol to that medical room. Nothing is wrong with that "efficient" medical room. Of course they will eat on the same table.

This game is always like "just a couple cycles more" before I sleep for the night and... oops! the sun is up XD

There is one major problem with the ASRS that I can see: because some items will be used more than others, the less-used items will slowly become the majority of what is stored and you will not be able to retrieve other items because all the storage units closest to the exits are clogged with more common items

Yay.. Standard resolution.. Thanks!!!!

You should consider putting some slicksters in you automated inventory area.
Or put a hole down and use the Molten ones

You need to insulate the surface with one of the recent QoL changes. Regolith will now protect the surface (I find it likes to make 6-8 tile thick regolith), which is fine for new bases, but for existing bases without the abyssalite layer it's a problem due to how hot that regolith is.

Also, I don't recommend doing the "pile of floor items" trick, items should only stack to 25t and dropping an item on the pile causes it to try and merge with every other item in the tile, which will end up causing lag with the amount of stuff you have in your ASRS.

Have you thought about using all your insane amounts of regolith to power a steam engine? Is the main problem just getting the steam back down under the steam engine again?

Also, I liked the old Algae Deoxidizer name. Not sure why they changed it. Made plenty of sense to me.

Love watching these videos, but man do I need a "how to get to day ten" video.

Let’s see how automated you are so far. See how long your dupes can survive COMPLETELY on their own. Then revert to your previous save.

Why not just placing a Exosuite Gate next to the Transit-Tube access ?
it would prevent dupes from walking around that area without an exo

I keep having troubles with dupes bringing ice into my base, maybe that’s where the phantom water is coming from for you as well?

You could like change your monitors resolution, and make the game full screen, and it'll capture at the resolution you want. If I remember correctly.
You could also change the scale on the UI, in the settings. Maybe that'd work for higher resolution.

I had this idea ior an oxygen system, using electrolyzers of course, say you had a steam vent, but you didn't want to keep pumping out the water, could you reliably use atmo sensors around your base to tell the pump when it should supply the electrolyzers? And I say sensors because you could also send oxygen a certain direction based on which atmo sensor activates using valves.

It's just a thought I had and I would try it myself but I don't have the game personally, and I'm not asking you to try it either, I just wanted to share my thought.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this idea and whether or not you think it'd be worth it and how useful it would be.

I love your content, especially at 2× speed, it really emphasizes your thought process.

i just made it cycle 400 in my game, and it's running slow, 3x speed takes as long as 1x for a cycle, but dupes move at 3x. any ideas on speeding my game up without using the debug speed up.

You should try filling the storage system with chlorine

I meant to post this on the last video, but have you considered using clock sensors/that little circuit that pulses on and off to 'cycle' the sweepers? It takes 50 seconds (I think) for a Conveyor Receptacle to fill up and the sweeper can move all of it (1000kg) at once in about 4 seconds, instead of constant sweeps of ~20kg (same for the loader, I guess). Can't be bothered working out the Fancy Maths, but it should save a ton of power and you can get creative in whether to have them run in sequence for lower continual draw or have them all turn on at night when other stuff isn't running.

While not strictly necessary, now that the bulk of moving materials around the base has happened, when was "strictly necessary" ever relevant for the ULTIMATE AUTOMATION CHALLENGE? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Keep up the good work!

Will you ever come back to ad cap? Please do! It was great!
