So everyone is raving about the cameras on the new iPhone 11 Pro.... but is it really good enough for professional use?

iPhones are for people to shoot holiday trips, family outings ... etc. They perform well ... stunning actually. If I were in an old taxi in Rome I might consider using one ... that's a maybe.

*I really enjoyed this video and hearing your thoughts about the iphone 11 pro*
*I use my iphone 8 plus for b-roll all the time. 4K60 with IS in a compact size is kind of rare.*

One of the best videos I've seen about the iPhone . Very well done

Fun video! The iPhone has always been the best video in a smartphone, I noticed the tell tale colour noise in the shadows the F5 seems to suffer with from time to time in comparison to the GH5's much finer noise pattern when you were matching to the iPhone. I think that's enough of a reason to get an FX9 surely? ;)

You have very kind eyes. Please adopt me!Also, you should try to get your hands on a Xiaomi Mi Note 10, which has a huge sensor for a phone. Would be very interesting to see a comparison video between that and the Iphone, to see brute sensor force vs. software smarts. You've earned a subscriber as you seem very well informed and articulate. Thanks!

Very good video. I have a Note 4 cellular phone that I use to capture some videos, but it´s bad on dark places.

Great video someone who uses filmic pro off the bat is a rare thing, an iPhone reviewed properly for once with 3rd party software.

I have been rambling about this for years the value of using 3rd party software with apple devices the only issue is the new Pro 11 can do 300-400mbps on the hardware (X could do 220 for 1 hour) but I haven't seen anyone play about with it in software sadly. (Worried consumers cant handle the files I guess?)

Just thought id mention to have a look at Mavis with there full sensor readout and filmic is meant to have an update soon with all 4 camera feeds able to run at the same time but they have fallen behind in recent times in development speed.

(It would be a fun youtube video to see some cine glass with a DOF adapter on the 11 Pro since there is a very small amount of tangible content on it)

(a notable thing about apple is from the 6s all devices have DNG photo support highlights can be saved and a lot can be recovered also adobe lightroom cc will take and edit any DNG's for free on the mobile app)

Good vid ! That wideangle is what im most jealous of compared to my own phone. Nice last shot, its quite surprising how long it took for me to see where you had spliced the last image(had to go back and rewatch), but when i saw it, it looked not good. Just goes to show if no one is looking for it, you can get away with alot ! And it feels like i have explained this so many times to people, that its the magic in the software that makes the cameraphones so good, i guess we will see this trickle down more and more over the years into videocameras. But that oversharpening must stop :p

Well thought out video as always. Your videos are the best i found yet, when it comes to a professional opinion. Are you doing a review about the FX9? Would be great if you are doing one in this talk trough style with your collegue. Love these!

I can’t believe you said the superb way the iPhone 11 handles the blacks. Can’t you leave the black alone?

I guess it's as pro as you can get with a phone's camera. If you're a professional and you need to shoot something on the fly and it's the only camera on hand, with your talent and some amazing apps, you could do some professional work with it.

The other consideration that Apple (and other “phony” companies) are glossing over is audio... can’t use anything in “camera” for anything more than syncing... must have external mics... but need that with most other (cheaper) than cinema cameras anyway... and even with them... I have a Shure that basically rises to a level of “Better than Sucks”

Talking to Siri?

That’s what Siri is telling me... but I don’t believe the beeach! BTS at best... but I got one to compliment my Z6 Filmmakers Kit (which has also FAILED to deliver the promised “game changing” ProRes RAW!)
