I'm Catholic but I agree with the Orthodox priest. Unfortunately many Catholics don't know their faith, don't understand the papacy, don't even know history of the Church, and think of a Pope as some god on earth, instead as just a Vicar of Christ. Even Saul, who was selected by God to be king of the Israelites went insane, and it took a while to finally take the kingdom away from him and give it to King David. Catholics are not bound to agree with everything the Pope says or worship him at all. Catholics can oppose a Pope (even saints have done this) when the Pope is openly teaching heresy, going against what Christ teaches, practicing idolatry (ex: the Pachamama being worshipped at the Vatican), etc. It's sad but a lot of "Catholics" don't practice the actual Catholic faith, but just what they think it is.
