The Tale Of How I Mounted An Anglepoise Lamp In My Workshop

This how to mount an anglepoise light to the wall of your workshop.

The other month I went into one of the local charity shops and saw this anglepoise lamp for £5 or £6, it had gone the following week. Today it was back again, this time for £2.50 along with a small model of Spiderman attached!!

It had no mounting base or mounting clip so I had to come up with a way of fixing it to the wall, find out how I did it here. Please support your local charity shops, I find all kinds of good stuff in them.

If you want to hear something odd, I work in an office that people have lots of these and often they replace them with different kinds and they just toss them out and I will grab the clamping mechanism from them out of the garbage because I figure that it’s a useful clamp. Little did I know that you could have used one of the 6 or so that I have gathering dust under my workbench 🤣
