Zakk is a guitar hero to me, to have him watch me play this and enjoy it is without a doubt the most humbling awesome guitar moment of my life. I will always remember this, thank you brother.
I Hope you all like it, I know this is a little different from the way Zakk wrote it but I figure it's a tribute and it has to be played off the cuff.

Well thanks man, I appreciate that. I remember reading the guitarworld article just before southern trendkill was released an Dime was all excited about this song called floods with an epic guitar solo that used a progression that he wrote as a teenager. What an awesome riff

Thanks mate, after jamming to the backing track a few times I recorded this. Usually I'd press delete and work on it until it's a little more polished and not so rough. For some reason I left it alone figuring that something like this shouldn't be perfect. Emotion often gets lost when you over do things

I seen a lot of concerts in my youth the most memorable rock shows the ones that had the biggest impact were Pantera because of Dime ! One show in Texas the front 4 rows of seats were broken into little pieces of bent metal and plastic ! Dime was a true showman and loved what he did and I'm so grateful he lead me to guitar as a teenager. Now 40 trying to share my music with my granddaughter of 3 she loves it !
