My husband is Chinese and while he brushes it off as ignorance I’m constantly being the one angry over it in comparison to the point I’ve actually snapped at people passing by (I’m white.) like, you’re attacking my family out of sheer ignorance, eff off!!

The attitude of racism towards Chinese as being 'expendable' is a result of history - the Chinese were here as cheap labour to exploit and build the railway. Once they were done, the U.S. expected them to leave. However many set up roots here and a community was born. Hence the head tax and Chinese Exclusion act....men were not allowed to bring their wives or children to America. US separated families for years; they wanted to destroy the family unit. However the Chinese persevered and thrived even with the racism. They will rise and overcome this difficult time as well.

after 9/11 all Pakistani/Indian/Bengali Asian Americans felt this racism. Most people literally had not thing to do with the attacks but they all looked at us like lesser just realized people love to blame others.

My response is death eyes. I ain't no small Asian. And I've already been approached 4 times, one time a guy trying to cough or spit on me. So I'm not leaving my house without pepper spray. People going to step to me like that I'll gently put them on the ground in a safe manner. Then they can sit there and think about their life.

Hopefully after this pandemic, Asian Americans will be more active in social movements to address issues like this because I will be honest. Asian Americans tend to be the most white washed out of all the minorities in the states to avoid confrontation . But look what happens, you can act as white as you want and be the model minority but people will still ostracize and inflict harm on you! The pandemic has forced those in the upper income brackets to drop their nice facade because of fear! But I don’t think Asian Americans are going to change socially because they don’t want to jeopardize their chances of climbing the social/corporate ladder in the white man’s world even if the white man is treating them like shit.

There is an old saying, "Viruses does not discriminate." I feel bad for everyone who has the virus and the people who are being bullied.

I was placing a takeout order from my favorite Chinese restaurant over the phone when the cashier asked me for payment before they made my order because she's seen a spike in people placing to go orders and not picking them up. She told me when she called them back they would laugh and hang up or say they changed their mind. Please support your local Chinese restaurants.

When I heard about the family getting stabbed at Sam’s Club, I just want to say shame on whoever did that. There were 2 small children. They stabbed 2 SMALL CHILDREN FROM DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. 2 small children. Stabbed at Sam’s Club because they looked a certain way.

The US had 2 months to prepare for this and somehow still managed to screw it up. Asian countries have done a way better job at containing the virus in a shorter time frame. A lot of responsibility falls on the Americans themselves

I was once told in class by this Romanian kid to watch where I cough. Though it didn't really hurt me much, looking back at it now it really kinda pisses me off

Those cruel disgraceful acts against my Asian or any ethnic families are grounds for arrests to be made. Growing up I was teased for my name or simply looking different. A few days ago at a truck stop in Alabama, as I walked into the store there was another customer next to me and the cashier went out of her way to point directly at me and tells me and motions me to get back. Like really in the 21st century people’s minds aren’t evolved and I think it starts at home and who we model from. Babies are not born prejudiced or racist they are taught those behaviors. I’m so grateful to have been raised with RESPECT CARE and LOVE.💖 thank you fung brothers great comedy and yummy food videos

I think it would be awesome if you both made a video about the racism Asians are facing here in America and how other minority communities feel about it. The reason I say this is because I could see people not feeling bad due to the racism they experienced at the hands of Asians. The corona virus could be looked at as a excuse for other minorities to target Asians. It is in no shape or form right because racism on any front is deplorable but I could see some people thinking that way. Thoughts?

Please be safe out there 😢
