Great analysis of a great film. I really love ATTTM. It's not just a great film for its time; it's a great film full stop. I think it holds up still today. It's easy to imagine someone like Terry Gilliam making this even now. What amazes me is how many things GM got right, straight off the bat. I know he'd done his shorts before so had all the compositing type effects sorted. But then he just produces a fully formed feature film. It has a pretty decent story, the acting is perfect for the scenario, and the visuals are amazing.
