Originally, the Venom symbiote came from a mysterious alien machine Peter found during Secret Wars. He'd been looking for a machine the other heroes had used to repair their damaged outfits but picked the wrong one. At first it was just a suit that could morph according to Peter's thoughts, and it was low-key implied to be kinda weird but everyone had bigger things to worry about at the time. It wasn't until after Secret Wars concluded that the symbiote started getting a mind of its own and began causing trouble for Peter. Also, originally it was just "the symbiote" or "the black suit, " until it merged with Eddie Brock who decided to call himself Venom.

However, since Secret Wars was this huge cosmic-scale crossover event, that origin story is sort of impossible to adapt. I believe the idea that it came to Earth in a space rock was was first introduced in the 1994 Spider-Man cartoon show, and it became the standard origin since it was much simpler to implement.

Also, the symbiote being associated with Harry Osborn is originally from the Ultimate continuity (edit: actually the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon, not the comic) and notably so was Miles Morales. These games borrow a lot from Ultimate Spider-Man, likely because it was designed to be a modernized and more streamlined interpretation.

I like how Miles' and Peter's dialogue changes tones depending on what they're doing. Whispering while in stealth and shouting when in combat. Phenomenal work!

I like that they're leaning more into Miles' artistic side in this game than the last one. I like Miles being smart but having him be smart in different ways than Peter, it helps differentiate the two as characters. Miles is an artist who's also good at science while Peter is a scientist with an artistic side (he's a photographer and also designed and made his own suits). There's overlap and they're ultimately equals, but there are also big differences which help them complement each other.

I completely love how much thought they put into the ASL when it comes to Hailey, Ganke, and Miles. Like, the culture surrounding them completely and how they have the grammar correct, it's amazing.

Man I loved the part in miles's rescue mission, he was switching his voice between stealth and fighting based on gameplay. And on top of that his voice had reverb according to his position. That is just an insane amount of detail! Props to the VA and dev team!
