If someone is not prepared well, should he/she give the test or after preparing well he/she should give the test ?

Dear sir
We are very confused in NAT question.
Where sometimes they ask to enter answer rounded to or sometimes they say that enter answer upto 2 decimals etc..
So how to round the answers to typein.
Because sometimes what happens is we are knowing the answer but due lack of this info we losses the marks..
