I once had an old car ford 1.6 engine off the 130 or 140mph clock years ago about 20 years ago..
Going downhill for about 2 miles on a deserted motorway.
I routinely used to drive at about 110 mph on motorways in the UK if it was safe to do so because my job mean't I had to drive long distances.
I used to leave for work around 5 am and avoid traffic.
Now it definitely is NOT safe to do so because there is too much traffic in any daylight hours and 5am now has a LOT of traffic so please don't try it anyone because conditions have changed.
I was fast but safe if that makes any sense.
Good visibility, hardly any traffic, a massive wide motorway. I can see why speed is intoxicating.
