Dear Alex

As a child in Southeast Asia, traumatic experiences that Alex repressed, would affect his mental health, when he became a young man.

Moving to Canada, Alex finished high school and found a job. After five years, he felt stuck in his job but needed to work to survive. However, Alex began to have suicidal thoughts. With nowhere to go, Alex made his way to Covenant House.

Working diligently with his counsellor and finding a sense of community, Alex found his voice and became able to advocate for himself.
